Smart Cities
Place crews, vehicles, assets and public-safety events on one shared operational picture of the municipality. The Smart Cities Solution Pack is fully specified, and it builds out on the same core that ships today.
Civic precinct and depot, live
A schematic of a civic precinct and works depot, with tags moving through it. People, assets and safety devices are all the same kind of tracked entity to the platform, differing in the rules attached to them rather than in the mechanism. Watch a safety device long enough and you will see one raise.
An illustrative layout and illustrative movement. Not a customer site, not live data, and not a claim about any particular deployment. Zone names are the vocabulary this industry already uses, which is exactly what the platform is configured with.
The safety kernel, for the people who work the municipality
Duress, man-down, lone worker, escalation and evidence are shipping platform capability, the same runtime deployed in healthcare. A council's workforce is exactly who they were built for.
Duress at the counter or in the field
A librarian presses a fixed button; a field worker presses a wearable. Either way the event is priority one at origination, and nothing in your configuration can downgrade it. It carries the caller's resolved location with quality and freshness attached.
Lone-worker check-in and man-down
A crew member working alone at a remote reserve checks in on a schedule; a missed check-in or a no-motion event escalates without anyone pressing anything. The liveness clock is platform-owned, so a worker who goes quiet is never silently forgotten.
Escalation that cannot lapse, evidence that stands
A closed-loop, tiered ladder climbs until a human acknowledges. It is restart-safe, with deadlines held in the database. One acknowledgement stands the alarm down everywhere, and the whole sequence lands on a tamper-evident audit trail with replay.
A coordination layer, not an emergency service
WillowCreek is a coordination and intelligence layer for the municipality. It is not a replacement for the emergency services, and the pack is specified never to position it as one. Triple Zero, police, fire and ambulance remain exactly what they are. What the platform adds is the council's own side of the picture: where its crews, vehicles and assets are, what is happening on its estate, and who is responding, sharable with the agencies that need it, when they need it.
A fully-specified catalogue, stated as what comes next
The Smart Cities Solution Pack is specified as a catalogue of forty-eight use cases on the same tags, the same infrastructure and the same core engines. Enable a subset and you inherit the rest as latent capability. The catalogue is specification rather than shipped software, and every entry below says so.
Field-worker safety, packaged
The kernel's lone-worker check-in, man-down and duress, packaged for depot crews with municipal terminology, rosters and dashboards.
Front-counter duress
Duress for libraries and customer-service centres, where difficult interactions happen at a public desk.
Ranger & parking-officer safety
Patrol safety for the officers who work alone, outdoors, and face the public at their least patient.
Fleet & heavy-plant tracking
Where every truck, mower and grader is, and what it is doing, across the whole municipality.
Street-asset sensing
Streetlight outage detection, smart-bin fill-level and overflow, and playground safety-inspection tracking.
Environmental advisory zones
Air-quality, flood and water-level, heat and UV, and bushfire-smoke advisory zones over the city map.
Fault to works order
An asset fault raises a works order automatically. The outage becomes a job, not a complaint call three days later.
Event crowd safety
Crowd-density and crush-risk alerting, and evacuation and egress management for civic events.
Public-building evacuation
Evacuation and roll-call for the council's own buildings, with unaccounted persons visible by last-known zone.
Shared picture & open data
A multi-agency common operating picture for incidents on council ground, and de-identified open-data feeds for transparency.
Pack dashboards
City Operations Picture, Fleet & Field-Crew Status, Asset Health, Public-Safety Incidents and Event Operations views.
Pack AI agents
The specification includes Incident-Clustering, Dispatch-Optimisation, Asset-Fault-Prediction and Crowd-Density agents. AI in WillowCreek is being built to be explainable and human-supervised. It will propose; people decide.
Honesty is the feature: anything not yet in place is told to you as such, in writing, before go-live.
What the pack is specified to measure
No invented numbers. The pack defines the measures, and your deployment produces the figures.
- Duress and lone-worker response: raise to responder-on-scene, and time-to-escalation for missed check-ins.
- Mean time to repair: by asset class and by precinct, from fault detected to works order closed.
- Works-order backlog: what is outstanding, where, and for how long.
- Asset fault rates: failures by class, so renewal budgets follow evidence rather than anecdote.
- Crowd-density breaches: threshold breaches at events, and time-to-intervention.
- Muster completion: evacuation-called to all-persons-accounted-for, per building and per drill.
Built for the people who run the city
- Field crews and depot supervisors: safety cover that travels to the job, not just the depot.
- Rangers and parking officers: help on the way before the situation decides for you.
- Library and service-centre staff: a button under the counter that actually goes somewhere.
- City operations and duty officers: one ranked queue and one map, instead of five phone numbers.
- Works coordinators: faults become jobs automatically, with the backlog visible.
- ICT and smart-city programs: signed containers on council infrastructure, adapters instead of rip-and-replace.
Built for public-sector scrutiny
The drivers the pack is specified to serve are the ones councils actually answer to: the model WHS duties owed to remote and isolated workers, the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and Australian Privacy Principles, and the state emergency-management arrangements the council coordinates within, never in place of. On privacy, the position is plain: public-realm analytics are anonymous and aggregated by design, and staff location is zone-level, purpose-limited and audited on every access.
Certification status is provided per deployment in commercial documentation. See Trust & security.
50 specified use cases
Every operational capability this pack is designed to deliver, grouped as the specification groups them, each mapped to the core engines that would configure it. A buyer enables the subset they need; nothing here is a separate product.
What this catalogue is. These are specified use cases: design work we have completed, each one mapped to the core engines that would deliver it and carrying its own identifier so it can be quoted, scoped and tracked. It is not a feature list. No use case in this catalogue runs today. The duress and location core beneath it does, and it is the same core every pack configures. Anything marked as running today is running today, and everything else is specification. Ask us about any entry and we will tell you plainly where it stands.
