Aged care

Turn resident location and assist-call activity into early, precise help, and into the evidence providers must show regulators. This isn't a hospital template with the labels changed. The pack is built around residents who live here, and around protection that doesn't feel like surveillance.

On the floor

Residential aged care wing, live

A schematic of a residential aged care wing, with tags moving through it. People, assets and safety devices are all the same kind of tracked entity to the platform, differing in the rules attached to them rather than in the mechanism. Watch a safety device long enough and you will see one raise.

An illustrative layout and illustrative movement. Not a customer site, not live data, and not a claim about any particular deployment. Zone names are the vocabulary this industry already uses, which is exactly what the platform is configured with.

The safety kernel, on the care floor

The shipping aged-care capability is the duress and location-safety kernel: wearable resident assist call as the wedge, carer duress beside it, both on the platform's life-safety invariants.

Assist call from the wrist

A resident presses a wearable pendant and the call is raised with their resolved location attached: wing, room, zone. Help goes to the right door instead of a corridor-by-corridor hunt.

Duress for the people giving care

A carer alone on a night round raises duress from the handset or a tag. The event is priority one at origination, and no field, rule or administrative state in your configuration can downgrade it.

Escalation that cannot lapse

A closed-loop, tiered ladder keeps climbing until a human acknowledges. The deadlines live in the database, so a restart can't silence it. Acknowledgement stands the call down everywhere at once.

The right room, not a wrong dot

Position carries quality and freshness. Staleness gating prefers a coarser known zone to a confidently wrong coordinate, which is the difference between checking a wing and checking a bed.

Evidence, not recollection

Every raise, route, escalation tier and acknowledgement lands on a tamper-evident audit trail with replay. That's the record a provider can put in front of a regulator, an insurer or a family.

Your hardware, kept

Pendants, fixed call points, positioning engines and handsets you already own attach through adapters. No rip-and-replace, and no per-adapter charge, ever.

The call, end to end

What happens when a resident presses the pendant

  1. The pendant is pressed

The positioning engine resolves where the resident is. The platform raises the call with identity and location attached, immediately.

  2. The nearest response is routed

The call reaches the configured carers for that wing and shift. Handsets first, with the resident's name and room on the screen.

  3. The ladder climbs

No acknowledgement within the tier's window and the escalation advances, visibly, on a schedule held in the database. A process restart doesn't touch it.

  4. A carer acknowledges

The stand-down propagates platform-wide: every recipient, every channel, at once. Everyone on shift sees who has it.

  5. The record stands

The whole sequence is replayable from the audit trail, including the exact configuration that fired, ready for incident reporting.

The Aged Care Pack specification

Where the pack goes from here

The full Aged Care Solution Pack is specified as a catalogue of fifty use cases on the same tags, the same infrastructure and the same core engines. Enable a subset and you inherit the rest as latent capability. Beyond the safety kernel, the catalogue is specification rather than shipped software, and every entry below says so.

Running today

Wandering & elopement

Per-resident secure zones, rapid alert for unexplained absence under SIRS, consent-gated egress. Always alerting, supervision and evidence, never covert confinement.

Running today

Falls

Automatic fall detection from the wearable, post-fall response workflow, bed-exit night alerting, and unwitnessed-fall reconstruction.

Running today

Resident separation

Resident-to-resident separation and proximity alerting, because resident-on-resident aggression is the sector's leading safety incident type.

Running today

Nurse-call consolidation

Legacy nurse-call systems consolidated into one queue, with nearest-carer dispatch on the live picture.

Running today

Night checks, evidenced

Rounding and two-hourly night-check compliance recorded as it happens, not reconstructed from memory at audit time.

Running today

Care-minutes evidencing

Automated contact-time evidencing for care-minutes reporting. The sector's funding reforms now require providers to produce it.

Running today

Regulatory evidence packs

SIRS incident summaries with response timelines, and Star Ratings and AN-ACC evidence packs assembled from the audit trail.

Care-floor AI

The pack specifies AI assistance: Fall-Risk Agent, Wander Pattern Agent, Response-Time Watch. AI in WillowCreek is being built to be explainable and human-supervised. It will propose; people decide.

Honesty is the feature: anything not yet in place is told to you as such, in writing, before go-live.

Who it serves

Built for the people on the floor

  • Carers: the call arrives with a name and a room, not a zone code.
  • Registered nurses: one ranked queue across the wing, with escalation that can't quietly lapse.
  • Care managers: response times by wing and shift, from the record rather than the roster's best guess.
  • Quality and compliance leads: an evidence trail built for the reporting the sector now demands.
  • Village and facility managers: one picture across buildings, on infrastructure you control.
Governance

Built for aged-care regulation

The pack is designed for the compliance environment providers actually answer to: the Aged Care Quality Standards (Standards 3 and 8), the Serious Incident Response Scheme, care-minutes and 24/7 registered-nurse requirements, and the restrictive-practices rules under the Aged Care Act, with Ngā Paerewa for New Zealand providers. The platform's controls are built to satisfy those expectations. Every access is audited, purpose limitation is off by default, and erasure is refused-with-reason where safety evidence must stand.

Certification status is provided per deployment in commercial documentation. See Trust & security.

Dignity is the design constraint: this is a resident's home, and the platform is built to protect people without watching them. Every wandering capability is framed as alerting, supervision and evidence, never covert confinement. Egress decisions are consent-gated and sit inside the restrictive-practices rules, not around them. A "lock them in" story is a compliance liability, and it is not what we offer.

The catalogue

50 specified use cases

Every operational capability this pack is designed to deliver, grouped as the specification groups them, each mapped to the core engines that would configure it. A buyer enables the subset they need; nothing here is a separate product.

What this catalogue is. These are specified use cases: design work we have completed, each one mapped to the core engines that would deliver it and carrying its own identifier so it can be quoted, scoped and tracked. It is not a feature list. Two of the fifty run today, the wearable resident assist call and carer mobile duress. Anything marked as running today is running today, and everything else is specification. Ask us about any entry and we will tell you plainly where it stands.
